Android 4.4 KitKat: Allows third-party messaging apps to act as default

     I'm sure this will not come as a surprise for you, Android 4.4 is named not Key Lime Pie, but rather a favorite chocolate treat, KitKat. A lot of Android users found themselves to fancy a third-party messaging app from Google Play over the stock one. Over on the Android Developers blog, Google says Android 4.4 KitKat will bring support for third-party text messaging apps to be set as default.
