Why President Obama is still on Blackberry

    President Obama currently uses a Blackberry smartphone for official communications. He is also the first President of the United States to frequently use email to keep in contact with others.

    President Obama was asked why he doesn't swap his Blackberry for an iPhone on Wednesday. His reason is that, he's not allowed for security reasons to have an iPhone. Though the President did confirm that both of his daughters have iPhones, reports Security Week.

   To compare Obama's email ethic, His predecessor George W. Bush stopped using email to communicate in 2001, while Bill Clinton is said to have only sent two emails during his entire Presidency.



At the time of Obama's election, he told CNBC that he was "still clinging to (his) Blackberry" and that the secret service would have to "pry it out of my hands" before he would stop using it.
