Mac Pro sets off with a staggering price point

Apple's new Mac Pro justifies its price for not being on any budget gift guides this holiday - It goes on sale from the most basic configuration, $2,999. (Php 135,000)

For the most basic spec'ed Mac Pro, you would get:

3.7GHz Quad-Core processor
12GB of RAM
2GB of Video Memory
    The other base configuration, costs $3,999 (Php 180,000) and would deliver;

3.5GHz 6-Core processor
16GB of RAM
3GB of Video Memory
This might seem a little silly. I do have to admit that half this price point, you could get a similarly spec'ed (or even better) PC. As for those who want to get the 'best' Mac Pro in its existence:

    2.7GHz 12-Core processor (extra $3,000)
    64GB of RAM (extra $1,200)
1TB of SSD flash storage (extra $800)
6GB of Video Memory (extra $600)
Already expensive, the highest hardware you could get costs a whopping $9,599 (Php 450,000).

The Mac Pro isn't plug-and-go

The Mac Pro comes with no keyboard, monitor or mouse, nor many other accessories which are necessary when using it in the sort of jobs it's designed for. At the very least, Apple sells those alongside...

The Display - The Mac Pro supports up to three 4K displays - a norm of film production (SuperHD resolution). Apple sells Sharp's 32-inch model for just $3,595.
Wireless Keyboard and Mouse - No self-respecting Mac Pro owner would settle for wires (which are free, by the way), though, so the wireless options (for each) retails for $70.
More Hard Drive Space - While 32TB EXT Hard Drive storage is too large to fill, industries would see a better use to it; for production, which costs $4,599.
Wireless Backup System - Keep your more sensitive documents in a different storage device, just to futureproof for a $400 Airport Time Capsule.
Caring for your beloved Mac Pro - It's best to have a 3-year Apple warranty just in case your Mac Pro stops working 18-months later (which I doubt), for just $249.

With everything included, the super-hyped computer tops out at $19,600 (Php 889,000). Which would already get you a brand-new car.

Is the Mac-Pro's price justified? or is Apple just burning a hole in our pockets? Tell us in the comments!
