Not everyone was a devotee of the collaboration between HTC and Facebook to which it has given birth with the Facebook smartphone; the HTC First. This belongs to the list as the mass proved that the software was wrong (at the very least could be easily changed) but the phone itself was given way more flak than it deserved.
One main reason for giving much negative anticipation is - Facebook Home. The First is unmistakably a fantastic little piece of hardware, and the user experience wasn't the worse either after you dug through the settings and disable Facebook's custom launcher.
Underneath it was practically stock Android, and the phone managed to do most things fairly well.
HTC First
PROS
- Stock Android laid down inside Facebook Home
- Not too shabby performance
- Facebook moguls are gonna love this
CONS
- A Little pricey
- Facebook could have put in more effort to it
The HTC First is a cool smartphone. Facebook's first entry to the smartphone level is great but there's more room for improvement. This phone hasn't gathered much appreciation and taking Facebook Home into account clearly justifies
