The iPhone 5S was released with the so called TouchID |
Written passwords are so yesterday. With the generation today, passwords that we always write on physical (or virtual) keyboards doesn't just cut out. Which is why Apple made a thought on how we would work out with something a little less obtrusive and annoying. Something we all have in ourselves since we were born and something unique to each one of us, our Finger. More exactly, the print on it.
Although this isn't a new technology, As Apple is being, you know, Apple, everyone is so hyped about it. People say it's the 'in' now.
The good thing about Apple's new product is that the Fingerprints of their customers are never backed up online or stored in iCloud. They are stored inside your SOC (System on a Chip), which cannot be accessed by anyone except by the TouchID itself.
The question is, will Fingerprint Passwords replace the old-shabby written passwords anytime soon?
successfully cracked the Fingerprint on your iPhone (5S). Although, this is hard to replicate (not to mention the time it takes), cracking is still not dissipated. Eventually people still would find written password more tactile than fingerprint.
I wouldn't think they can completely replace what we've been used to. If you're having a sleepover with some numskull friends, you'd be worried about them taking your iPhone while you're asleep and very slowly put your finger on the TouchID without you noticing. As opposed to a passcode which they wouldn't even bother cracking.
What crazy ideas are more to follow these damned road to user security? Would a nipple unlocker be appropriate? Nip-lock is what I call it (Pun is applied extensively) -
or would a simple blood test on your BloodID suffice for maximum security?
I doubt that.
