Beats Audio

Say, you went into a store and decided to purchase a phone or a laptop with a big letter "b" on it. You don't know anything about it but you got the device because of the advertised "better sound" of the infamous "beats" brand. What exactly is it?

The beats audio feature is most often seen along HTC phones and HP laptops. Giving it away straight, Beats Audio is basically an EQ to convince you it sounds "better" than another device. It's a marketing gimmick to mark up laptops and stuff like that just because they have the "beats audio" tag.

There are a lot of misinformation about beats audio, in particular the store employees. Beats headphones are separate from beats audio! Beats has just partnered with HTC and HP to create HP laptops that has an integrated "beats" audio on it.

Sound quality, Representation of what the artists intended you will hear when they were recording it, This is all marketing bias.

With all that put aside, lets put up some quotes from HP:
HP WITH BEATS AUDIO RECAP
1. Redesigned Headphone Jack
    - Reduces Ground Power
2. Discrete Headphone Amp
    - More powerful with better stereo separation
3. Dedicated Audio Island
    - Isolates the audio components on the circuit board.
4. Function + B
    - Engages Beats Audio profile
This is decent enough so to speak. Stereo separation and all that is good enough to hear isn't it? The catch is the last on the list, Beats Audio 'profile'.

Beats Audio is just an Audio profile which boosts low and high ends on the equalizer.(exaggerating them).
