Expect Windows 9 'Threshold' as soon as 2015

The next generation Windows, codenamed 'Threshold' is given a sneak peak as early as the April BUILD conference, according to a new report.

Paul Thurott, another update to Windows 8.1 will be released this year. It's safe to assume it's called Windows 8.2. Too much extensions. Why not just hold off for Windows 9? According to Thurott, Windows 9 is still in the planning stages. At the conference, we'll only get a brief look of Microsoft's vision for the next iteration. Still, he expects the new OS to include a revamped version of the Metro UI.
