I've been tracking the 12.9-inch iPad 'Pro' for months now, and it seems a new report claims it will be released Q3 or Q4 this year. Since November, I've reported about Apple doing such move. However, Samsung remained quiet in doing the development of the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 which was seen on CES.
Perhaps the Samsung's release would push Apple to release its next-generation iPad with a 12.9-inch display. Sources from the market believe that the end of the third quarter of 2014 is where Apple might unveil the iPad Maxi/iPad Pro, at the earliest. Until then, though, we'll likely see new models from both Samsung and Apple, according to regular release cycles.
